IIHS Awards the Jeep Compass SUV a 2017 Top Safety Pick Rating

Recently, Jeep® proudly reported that the all-new 2017 Compass had been named a 2017 Top Safety Pick by the Insurance institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The compact SUV earned ratings of "good" on all five of the IIHS crashworthiness tests, while it's available Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) received a "superior" grade -- all marking the highest ratings possible. Advanced AEB technology is one of 70 safety and security features available in the 2017 Compass, along with the Full-speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus driver-assist feature.

In a press release, Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global, remarked, "The all-new Jeep Compass benefits from high-strength steel content that exceeds 65 percent. This not only contributes to crashworthiness, it speaks to a level of engineering sophistication that makes this vehicle the most capable small SUV ever."
