The Jeep Wrangler has experienced a massive leap in popularity over the last few years, and this has left many dealers in short supply. Jeep's parent company, FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), has recognized the need to increase production and is doing just that in Toledo, Ohio.

FCA has announced plans to invest $700 million dollars into upgrading their Toledo, OH manufacturing facility to pump out record numbers of Wranglers in time for the model's 2018 refresh. Wrangler production is expected to increase from 240,000 units per year to over 450,000 once the Toledo plant is operational, with 350,000 Wranglers coming from the Toledo site alone. The increase in production is also expected to bring up to 700 new jobs to the area. The 2018 Wrangler will also feature a new pickup version, something Jeep hasn't attempted since 1992 with the Jeep Comanche.
